Bristol, home to cider, great music and an infamous graffiti artist is also a burgeoning tech and coworking scene. Whether you're a freelancer, student, part of a company or something entirely different, there are some great spaces around to base yourself. And with the entire world tiring of relentless WFH, there's never been a better time to try coworking.

Check out the city’s top workspaces and prices in our rundown of the best of the west.

Note: Here's the deal. We're a coworking provider ourselves. We think we're great (and hundreds of others agree), but we still want to give you a rundown of some of the great other spaces in Bristol. Mainly because we'd like you to go to them, then compare them with our Bristol sites, and realise that they really don't compare.

Anyway, on to the list!

1. Runway East

Bristol Bridge | Runway East

As if we're not going to mention ourselves on this list?! After opening our celebrated Bristol Bridge site a few years back, we filled it so quickly that we soon realised we needed another, and Runway East Temple Meads was born.

Whichever site you choose, you'll be rubbing shoulders with people from some of Bristol's fastest growing tech companies (and beyond), slap bang in the middle of one of the UK's most exciting tech hubs.

All memberships include free meeting room credits, digital perks and discounts, and a whole host of social and professional events to keep teams motivated all week long.

Here's what the founder of YellowDog said about us:

Runway East is the best place to grow a business in Bristol

Community type: Relaxed, friendly and sociable

Plus points about Runway East:

  • Amazing locations
  • Unbeatable collection of fast-growing companies
  • Famous social events
  • Free meeting rooms
  • Perks for startups – AWS credit and more

2. Desklodge

Desklodge is a mixture of playground and workspace, bringing to life that work hard play hard attitude.

Its quirky decor includes a tree in the middle of the event space, a Doctor Who phone box which leads to a quiet, no phone calls and no meetings space as well as a plush hotdesk area with silk lined walls. This is in a location close to Temple Meads train station and a 5 minute walk to the city centre.

Plus points about Desklodge:

  • Pay by the hour memberships
  • Free coffee
  • Free two-day trial

3. Origin Workspace

Right next to the Clifton Triangle, Origin is a functional, well-designed flexible office space. Slightly more corporate than others, it should suit businesses (and individuals) looking for a more neutral feel for their workspace. An on-site gym is a major plus for fitness fanatics. Note that the location is slightly further from Temple Meads station than others.

4. Square Works

Like coworking but don't want to deal with the hoi polloi? Square Works describes itself as a "high-end coworking space within a private members' club". This is probably not the space for sweaty all-night coding fuelled by Red Bull, but a good option for those wanting more of a traditional vibe.

Situated on the historic King Street, Framework is a tech and digital hub in a beautiful building right by the Bristol Old Vic theatre. Operated by Forward Space, the site is one of several in the south west that range from locations in Frome to Exeter.
